I'm chuckling at the change I received today in Vancouver. Good thing the currencies are near parity, I guess.

Not unusual
Even when the exchange rate was off, it has been quite common to find US coins amongst the change. I think our vending machines take US coins, too. We're pretty easy going like that. ;)
