Chocolate Chip Cookies
From Alves. Makes 2-3 dozen
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup (5 oz) white sugar
3/4 cup (5 oz) brown sugar
1 5/8 sticks (6.5 oz) butter at room temperature
3 eggs
2 3/4 cup (12 oz) all-purpose flour
1/2 Tbsp salt
1/2 Tbsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup (8 oz) chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Place the butter and sugars into the bowl of a stand mixer with paddle attachment and cream together until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, scraping the bottom of the mixer and sides of the bowl after each. (no, really)
Add the vanilla extract.
Add the all purpose flour, baking soda and salt.
Mix until just combined. (no, really)
Add chocolate chips and mix until the chocolate is just incorporated.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about two inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Let cool or enjoy while still warm!
