“I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. Lost more than 300 games. 26 times I was trusted to take the game winning shot and failed. I have failed over and over again and that is why I succeed.”

~ Michael Jordan, Nike Commercial

This is one of the best Michael Jordan Nike commercials. The visuals are him getting out of his car and walking into the stadium, all in slow motion. It appears to be long before the game as there are no screaming fans, just the occasional security guard (to whom Mike waves). There aren't images of glory (flashy dunks, hoisting trophies, etc.), it's all about walking the quiet, unglamorous path to success, which is filled with many little failures, but only by learning from those failures, and picking yourself up, dusting yourself off, and getting back in "the game", will you succeed in the long run.

My other favorite MJ commercial (I think this one is Gatorade) is where the older MJ plays a younger MJ in 1-on-1. The young MJ drives, dunks, and plays an athletic game. The older MJ takes what his opponent gives him and plays an efficient game. Classic youth versus experience. But the best part is when they finish their game, sit down and start drinking Gatorade, when an ever younger MJ (wearing a North Carolina jersey), comes in and says "I got next." Good stuff.
